видала сегодня объект. он чинил замок в двери и косяк от двери, которую пришлось выбивать, потому что замок сдох и заел намертво. объект был зол. поэтому буду пытаться во вторник :) |

Мне надо Jefferson Airplane (по моему, я этим уже всех достала :) И еще рание альбомы PJ Harvey (Dry, Rid of Me). У меня они раньше былина кассетах, а вот на диске я не могу их найти.
Ну еще много чего надо, но это самое хотимое на данный момент. |

и только что разглядела, что на A List Apart сделали такую милую штучку, как кнопочки переключать с small sans, на large serif для любителей, хотя первый вариант поределенно читабельней, но с последний с засечками дял бумаги видать, хотя раньше у них была кнопочка print version. |

Я еще на infodesign хорошую ссылочку по инфоархитектуре раскопала. Так системно и умно поданы начала. Редко, когда такое встретишь. Обычно если начала, то дебильным языком на пальцам для идиотов, а если что-то более разработанное, то фрагментами для специалистов. А там так хорошо подано. Уже лежит в закромах :)

...To the students, text had been handled as a graphic element, to be shifted within grids, manipulated and filtered like a photo, to be squinted at and scrutinized upon critique but never apparently to be read.
“But editors take care of text, we just have to design it” was the response when I’d insist that designers learn about editorial style and usage, which always made me laugh.
I complain about the cult of designer ego because it takes away from the craft mentality that leads to better work. The cult of editorial ego is another matter altogether: surrounded as we are by stilted prose, overstatement and eye–glazing textual banality, text has no more implicit safety in the hands of editors.
That said, there are talents and hacks on both sides of the barbed wire and landmines that lie between editors and designers, none of whom benefit from ignorance of what the other side is doing. If you design with editors, study what they know, and have the same reference books at hand.
And above all, read what you are designing, and imagine reading it for the first time, like someone who just found it...

я не знаю, где это и это действиьельно ужасть. я вообще отовралась от нормальной человеческой жизни за последний год очень сильно.
а там старая музыка есть? а то меня пробило последнее время. то вот jefferson airplane. а чера перекатала диск с Бриджит Бордо. прелесть-то! :) |

What makes an award-winning website? Is content more important than graphics... we examined the Webby Awards 2000 dataset to understand which factors distinguish highly-rated websites from those that receive poor ratings...
We found that, across the dataset, the content criterion was by far the best predictor of the overall experience criterion, while the visual design criterion was the worst predictor of the overall experience. Analysis of ratings within the 27 topical categories showed that the importance of the five criteria to the overall experience score differed substantially among the topics. For example, in the Arts category, the visual design criterion and the content criterion were equally important, whereas in the Activism category, content was very important, but visual design was not important for predicting the score for overall experience.
The importance of content and the relative lack of importance of visual design was mirrored in layperson’s ratings of the websites (known as the People’s Voice ratings). Websites with the highest ratings as determined by peoples' votes were those that rated lower in visual design and higher in content by the Webby Awards judges...
